Being a hat designer; millinery, is a very creative, labour intensive, but rewarding job. When you have your own brand, every day is fulfilled with different jobs. Some days, I meet with clients in the Rosie Olivia showroom, try on hats with them an discuss their hat options and which would be most suitable for their occasion and work with their outfit. Others I am in the studio surrounded by steam, hats blocks, fabrics, trimmings, and hats. Or my least favourite is doing the business accounts!! However, I am currently creating a whole new collection of ladies occasion hats for the spring so I am souring new trimmings, making new hat shapes and looking for inspiration as well as getting ready for the festive season!!
