Hand made bespoke hats and ready-to-wear collections.

Rosie Olivia Millinery is a luxury collection of women’s designer hats, producing two diverse ready-to-wear collections a year Autumn Winter and Spring Summer. We specialise in bespoke hats, working one on one to create that exclusive designer hat to suit your special occasion and dress, one of a kind.  Rosie Olivia designer hats are truly distinctive, create a statement, beautifully hand crafted by Rosie Olivia and are perfect for all occasions whether it's Royal Ascot, Henley Regatta, Aintree Races, Weddings and Barmitzah’s just to name a few, or you simply need a glamorous designer headpiece!

How to wear your hat

Wearing your designer hat the right way can make all the difference as to how it looks. First of all your hat should be very comfortable to wear. You should be able to wear it all day and forget its even on your head.

Our smaller hats are all secured with a discrete clear elastic that sits behind both ears, beneath the hair. We advise you to wear your hats sitting at a flattering angle to the left or right of your head so that it touches the top of one eye brow and ear.

Trending this Winter

Get yourself a Rosie Olivia Cap for this winter. Casual headwear is what it's all about this season. Put a cap on with a pair of denims and a trench coat and make your outfit complete. We have six different cap styles to choose from this AW17 so take your pick!

What inspired me to become a Milliner?

I have always loved accessories, especially hair accessories, whether it’s a floppy winter beany hat or a little glitzy hair clip, I always have something in my hair. When I was younger, I used to go to functions with my mum where all the ladies would wear hats. I used to sit there and admire them all and think, the lady opposite me, would look so much better if those feathers on her hat where in another colour or she wore a hat without a brim!

Newmarket July Festival - Best Dressed Competition

This year I was lucky enough to be asked to be a judge on the panel for the Best Dressed Lady at Newmarket’s July Festival for the Style Awards. It was the social event of the summer in Newmarket and the ladies looked beyond fabulous. At the Style Awards we saw the most eye-catching outfits and here I am pictured with the runner-up!
If you haven't been to Newmarket Races, add it to your list for next year. It's one not to be missed!

We are so excited to announce the Rosie Olivia AW17 collection will be coming available online very soon! There are sixty, yes sixty new beautiful hats! All unique and vary in their shape & trimming. It almost makes us look forward to Winter (almost!).

Royal Ascot 2017

Just as expected, the quintessentially British style that we saw, at one of the greatest summer events of the year, was incredible! Every year race goers flock in their thousands sporting their best designer hats & gowns, ready for a gamble & to be spotted.

The reason we love Ascot so much is because when it comes to hats - there is no where better to look! It is always fun spotting these showpieces, as here at the Rosie Olivia studio, we appreciate all the hard work our fellow mad-hatter milliners put into creating truly show stopping pieces!

Positioning your hat correctly on your head

Not all hats belong in the centre of our heads, some look best further forward or angled above the eyebrow.

For a stylish look, I recommend placing hats at an angle to match the angle of a jaw line, covering your hair parting or wear a Jackie O style pill box that sits at the back of your head. Your hat can be made to sit on your preferred side.

All my hats are fitted with a clear elastic to secure the hat on your head. The elastic sits behind both ears, hidden under all your hair. I love seeing hair up with a hat on as it will make the hat stand out more!!
